Develops, directs and consults on Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) and Resiliency ensuring on-going continuity of critical business operations due to a major disruptive events.
Essential Job Functions:
* Leads and manages the development, implementation and continuous improvement of enterprise-wide BC/DR and resiliency program, projects, processes and activities.
* Responsible for the implementation, execution and management of operational BC/DR plans and resiliency strategy necessary to ensure continued delivery of service to Mutual of Omaha customers. In an instance of a disruptive event, serves on the Corporate Incident Command Team as the Company's business continuity/ disaster recovery liaison, recommending activation of back-up of recovery sites, if necessary. Is the interface on planning, exercising and intelligence with the Company Incident Commander.
* Leads corporate steering committees and/or projects to deliver new and creative approaches BC/DR and resiliency. Works with the Compliance Department to ensure compliance with corporate, state and federal regulations.
* Leads and coordinates the cataloging of critical business functions and processes across the enterprise and facilitates cross operational prioritization to ensure obligations and promises to Mutual of Omaha customers are fulfilled. Facilitates and directs the development, implementation, training, testing, tracking, metrics and maintenance of corporate-wide operational BC/DR plans and resiliency strategy.
* Guides recovery strategies for technologies. Influences those I/S teams with the responsibility for recovery plans up to date. Ensures that all recovery technologies are tested, gaps are identified, and mitigation plans are developed and executed.
* Ensures the necessary facilities and capabilities (software , systems remote access and recovery space) are in place to recover critical corporate processes/functions within predetermined recovery time objectives. Reviews operational business recovery plans in order to identify issues relating to functional effectiveness and efficiency of such plans and the associated risks and improvement needs.

* Develops and maintains an engaged and accountable workforce. Develops and maintains a fair and equitable working environment.
* This position may require frequent standing or walking for extended periods of time.
* This position requires Visual Acuity at 20 inches (or less) over 66% of the time.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Two or more years or experience of BC/DR planning and deliver.
* Thorough knowledge of and experience in the venue of BC/DR management.
* Proven knowledge of BC/DR methodology's and principles, including current industry standards and practices.
* Ability to function as a leader in crisis management situations.
* Excellent leadership skills, including the ability to interact with individuals at all organizational levels to build strong team relations.
* Exceptional organizational and communications skills, including the ability to listen effectively, understand varied business concepts and effectively communicate clearly and concisely verbally and in writing.
* Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, including the ability to analyze unique customer environments and suggest appropriate BC/DR and Resiliency solutions.
* Excellent presentation skills, including the ability to interface with Executive management.
* Excellent customer service skills, strong level of business impact focus and sensitivity.
* Ability to operate within a budget.
* Ability to teach or foster development in others.
* Ability to gain compliance in fair, equitable, non punishing fashion.

* Insurance and Bank product knowledge and a general understanding of Mutual of Omaha's processes preferred.
